GTA 5 Cheats for PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC

Summary: GTA 5 cheats work in Story Mode on every platform: button combinations on PlayStation and Xbox, typed words on PC, and 1-999 phone numbers everywhere. They switch off trophies and achievements for the session, they never work in GTA Online, and there is no unlimited money cheat.

The same PlayStation cheats work on PS3, PS4 and PS5, and the same Xbox cheats on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Series X|S.
Phone cheats are the easiest method: dial 1-999 followed by the number for the cheat.
Any cheat disables trophies and achievements until you reload a save made before you used it.

How to Enter GTA 5 Cheats

There are three input methods, and which one you use depends on the platform and how much you trust your thumbs:

PlayStation and Xbox: enter the button sequence during gameplay without pausing. A notification in the corner confirms it worked. Use the D-pad for directions, not the stick.
PC: press the tilde key (~) to open the console, type the cheat word and press Enter.
Phone, all current platforms: press Up on the D-pad (or the phone key on PC), open the keypad and dial the number.

Most active effects switch off if you enter the same code again. Invincibility lasts five minutes, and Slow Motion and Slow Motion Aim deepen each time you repeat them.

Type the word in the PC console, or dial the number on the phone on any current platform. The PC codes are also the easiest to remember, since each phone number simply spells the word on the keypad. Four more exist only as a PC word or phone number. The Dodo seaplane (EXTINCT, 1-999-398-4628), the Kraken submarine (BUBBLES, 1-999-282-2537) and the Duke O'Death (DEATHCAR, 1-999-3328-4227) only spawn once you have unlocked them in Story Mode. GTA 5 Car Cheats

The vehicle cheats are already in each platform list above, but here is what they spawn: the Comet and Rapid GT sports cars, a stretch limo, the Trashmaster garbage truck and a Caddy golf cart on the road; the Sanchez dirt bike, PCJ-600 motorbike and BMX on two wheels; and the Buzzard attack helicopter, Stunt plane and Duster crop plane in the air. Spawn them on an open stretch of road, since the game refuses if there is no space around you.

Do GTA 5 Cheats Work on PS5, PS3 and Xbox One?

Yes. The PS5 version accepts exactly the same button combinations as PS4 and PS3, and Xbox Series X|S uses the same combos as Xbox One and Xbox 360. That is why there is one PlayStation list and one Xbox list above rather than a list per console. On the current versions the phone cheats work too; on PS3 and Xbox 360 the button codes are the dependable method.

The longer combos, such as Skyfall at sixteen inputs, are easier on a controller with a clicky D-pad, and anyone settling in for a long Story Mode session tends to notice the chair before the controller. A gaming chair from GTPlayer is one option at the budget end.

Why a GTA 5 Cheat Is Not Working

Nearly every failed cheat comes down to one of five causes:

You are in GTA Online. Cheats only exist in Story Mode, on every platform.
You are in a mission or scripted scene that blocks them. Leave the mission area and try again.
You used the analogue stick instead of the D-pad, or paused between inputs.
There is not enough room around you for a vehicle to spawn. Move into open road.
The vehicle needs unlocking first, which applies to the Dodo, Kraken and Duke O'Death.

Trophies, Achievements and Saving

Entering any cheat blocks trophies and achievements for the rest of that session. It is not permanent: reload a save made before you cheated and they come back. The safe habit, which GamesRadar's cheat guide also recommends, is to keep a separate save slot purely for cheating so your main file stays clean.

Is There a GTA 5 Unlimited Money Cheat on PS4 or Any Platform?

No. Rockstar never shipped a money cheat for Story Mode or GTA Online on PS4, PS5, Xbox or PC, and any site offering a money generator is after your account. In Story Mode the reliable route is the stock market during Lester's assassination missions. In GTA Online, cash comes from heists and businesses or from Shark Cards bought with real money. Keep a Clean Save Before You Dial Anything
