How Much Is Fortnite Crew? Price and What Changed

AurikaAug 12, 20266 min read

How Much Is Fortnite Crew

Summary: Fortnite Crew costs $11.99 a month in the US and £9.99 in the UK. The price has not changed, but what you get for it has: since 6 June 2026 the monthly V-Bucks grant dropped from 1,000 to 800, with no price cut to match. You still get the season's Battle Pass, the other passes and a monthly Crew Pack outfit.

  • $11.99 per month in the US, £9.99 in the UK, billed monthly and auto-renewing.
  • 800 V-Bucks a month now, down from 1,000 before June 2026.
  • Includes the Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass, Music Pass and Rocket League's Rocket Pass Premium.
  • Crew Pack cosmetics are yours permanently once claimed; pass access stops when you cancel.

How Much Does Fortnite Crew Cost?

The subscription is $11.99 a month in the US and £9.99 in the UK, charged on the same date each month until you cancel. There is no annual plan and no discount for paying ahead, which matters more than it sounds: because it bills monthly, there was no way to lock in the old V-Bucks rate by stacking payments before the June change. Epic lists the current terms on the official Fortnite Crew page.

Prices in other regions are set locally, so if you see a different figure on your account than a friend does, that is regional pricing rather than an error or a promotion.

What You Get for the Money

Crew bundles several things that would otherwise be bought separately. Epic's support page on what is included is the authoritative list, and as it stands a subscription gives you:

  • 800 V-Bucks each month, granted when your subscription renews.
  • The current season's Battle Pass, unlocked automatically.
  • The OG Pass, LEGO Pass and Music Pass.
  • Rocket League's Rocket Pass Premium.
  • A monthly Crew Pack containing an exclusive outfit and matching cosmetics.

The distinction worth understanding: Crew Pack items are permanent once you claim them, so they stay in your locker forever even after you cancel. Pass access is not. If your subscription lapses mid-season you lose entry to the Battle Pass and the other passes, along with any rewards you had not yet unlocked.

The June 2026 V-Bucks Change: 1,000 Down to 800

Epic emailed subscribers in April 2026 confirming that from 6 June, the monthly V-Bucks grant would fall from 1,000 to 800. Anyone whose billing date landed before 6 June kept the full 1,000 for that cycle; everyone renewing on or after it moved to 800. The subscription price stayed at $11.99 throughout, so this was a reduction in what you receive rather than an increase in what you pay.

It did not come out of nowhere. On 19 March 2026 Epic restructured V-Bucks pricing across the board, and the pack that used to sell 1,000 V-Bucks for $8.99 became an 800 V-Bucks pack at the same price. The Crew change simply brought the subscription into line with the new rate. Epic attributed the wider overhaul to the rising cost of running the game, and the timing, weeks after roughly a thousand layoffs at the studio, did the announcement no favours with players.

The compounding effect is the part that gets missed. You receive 200 fewer V-Bucks a month, which is 2,400 fewer over a year, and item shop prices did not come down alongside the currency change. Less currency, buying the same cosmetics, at the same subscription cost.

Is Fortnite Crew Worth It Now?

Run the numbers rather than the vibes. At current store rates, 800 V-Bucks is what $8.99 buys you outright, as our breakdown of what V-Bucks actually cost sets out. So of your $11.99, roughly nine dollars is covered by the currency alone, leaving about three dollars a month for the Battle Pass, four other passes and an exclusive outfit. On paper that is still comfortably positive value.

Whether it is positive for you depends on how much of the bundle you touch. If you complete the Battle Pass most seasons and play Rocket League or LEGO Fortnite occasionally, the subscription is hard to beat. If you only ever wanted the V-Bucks and ignore the passes, you are now paying a three dollar premium each month for cosmetics you may not claim, and buying currency directly is the cheaper path.

If you land on buying currency as needed instead of subscribing, prepaid top-up services are worth a look, and a Razer Gold balance can be used across a number of games rather than being locked to one.

Getting Crew Through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Since late 2025, Fortnite Crew has been included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If you already pay for Ultimate, you may effectively be entitled to Crew without a second subscription, so check your Xbox benefits before signing up separately. Paying for both is a common and easily avoided mistake.

Going the Ultimate route also bundles in a games library, and subscription codes often turn up cheaper at key resellers such as Gamivo than at the storefront price, which is worth checking if you are weighing the two options against each other.

How to Cancel Fortnite Crew

Cancel through whichever platform you subscribed on, not through the game:

  • Subscribed via Epic directly: manage it in your Epic Games account subscriptions page.
  • Subscribed on PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo: cancel in that platform's subscription settings.
  • Subscribed through an app store: cancel in your Apple or Google account.

Cancelling stops the next charge rather than ending access immediately. You keep the passes and the V-Bucks you have already been granted until the paid period runs out, so there is no benefit to cancelling early in a billing cycle. Claim the current month's Crew Pack before you go, since unclaimed packs do not wait for you.

Deciding Whether to Keep Paying for Crew

Crew is still decent value if you use the passes, and poor value if you were only ever in it for the currency. Before you decide either way, it is worth knowing which free V-Bucks methods are real and which are just scams dressed up as generators. And if topping up on your own terms suits you better than a monthly charge, you can buy a Fortnite V-Bucks gift card and add the balance whenever you actually want it.
