Redeeming on a PS5

Redeeming on a PS4, the Web or the App

Reading the Code Correctly

A PlayStation Store code is 12 characters of letters and digits, usually printed in hyphenated groups. You do not need to type the hyphens, and the entry screen tends to ignore stray spaces pasted in from an email, so copying and pasting on the web store is the safest approach.

If what you are holding is much longer than 12 characters, or is a link, it is not a wallet code. Longer strings are usually partner vouchers redeemed on a different site, and typing them into Redeem Codes will simply fail.

Why a Code Gets Rejected

Almost always one of these:

• The card's region does not match the region on your PSN account.
• A character was misread, commonly 0 against O.
• The code has already been used.
• A physical card was not activated properly at the till.

Region is the hard one. A US card will not redeem on a UK account regardless of where you are sitting, and an account's store region is set at creation.
