Console Crossplay Works, PC Crossplay Does Not

PC is sealed off. A PC player cannot queue with a console friend in any mode, and there is no workaround. The reason is input: a mouse aims faster and more precisely than a stick, and Riot built the console version around controller aim assist and a modified feel rather than porting the PC game across. Console also blocks mouse and keyboard entirely, and spoofing hardware to get around that is a bannable offence.

What Your Account Carries

Cross-progression is the generous part. Link the same Riot account on PC, PS5 and Xbox and the following moves with you:

• Agents you have unlocked.
• Skins and your whole collection.
• Valorant Points and Radianite.
• Battle Pass progress and tier.

Rank Is the Exception

Competitive progress does not transfer. Your PC rank and your console rank are separate numbers with separate MMR behind them, and placement matches on one do nothing for the other. Someone Immortal on PC starts from placements on a console.

That is consistent with the input argument. A rank earned with a mouse would say very little about how someone performs with a controller, so Riot keeps the ladders apart. It also means a player who splits time across both platforms is effectively grinding two seasons at once.

Linking Your Accounts

The link happens once and matters more than it looks:

1. Sign in to Riot Account Management on the web.
2. Open Connected Accounts.
3. Select PlayStation or Xbox and sign in to that console account.
4. Confirm, then launch the game on console to check your collection appeared.

Use the Riot account you actually care about. A PSN account can only ever be linked to one Riot account, and the pairing cannot be undone afterwards. Linking the wrong one strands a collection you paid for.
