How the Apex Ranked System Works
The Apex ranked system runs on Ranked Points. Every match costs RP to enter, and you earn RP back from your placement, your eliminations and assists, and a few skill-based bonuses. Finish high with kills and you gain; drop early and you lose the entry cost. Higher ranks charge a higher entry cost, which is what slows the climb near the top.

What Changes in Season 31 and Season 32
Respawn published a ranked roadmap in October 2026 with two stages:
- Season 31 (November 2026): Legend bans in matches with Diamond players or above, a Lobby Tier indicator showing the median rank in your lobby, and adjusted entry costs when squads face much stronger or weaker opponents.
- Season 32 (early 2027): Iron replaces Rookie, Emerald arrives between Platinum and Diamond with four divisions, Grandmaster is added, and Master gains four divisions.
- Season 32 also splits Apex Legends ranked into an Open League (Iron to Emerald) and a Pro-Am League (Diamond to Predator), gives every squad member full team kill RP, and removes Weekly Ladders.
