How to Redeem a Discord Nitro Code on Desktop and Mobile

Summary: There are two ways to redeem a Discord Nitro code. If you received a gift link, open it while logged in and accept. If you have a code, go to User Settings, open Gift Inventory and enter it under Redeem Codes. Promotional codes from partners sometimes require a payment method on file, and a code cannot be applied while an incompatible subscription is active.

• Gift links are accepted in one click from the Discord app or browser.
• Plain codes go into Gift Inventory under User Settings.
• Partner promo codes often need a card or PayPal saved first.
• Only click Nitro links from people or services you trust.

How to Redeem a Discord Nitro Gift Link

Nitro gifts sent in chat appear as a card with an Accept button. Click it while signed in to the account you want Nitro on, and the subscription starts straight away. Gift links shared outside Discord open a browser page that asks you to log in, then accept.

How to Redeem a Discord Nitro Code on Desktop

• Open Discord and click the gear icon for User Settings.
• Select Gift Inventory in the left menu.
• Paste the code into the Redeem Codes box and click Redeem.
• Confirm, and your Nitro perks unlock immediately.

How to Redeem a Discord Nitro Code on Mobile

Mobile app options can change, and some versions do not show a redeem box. If you cannot find it, the reliable route is to open Discord in a phone browser, sign in, and use Gift Inventory there. The subscription applies to your account, so it works on every device once redeemed.

Promotional Nitro Codes From Games and Partners

Free Nitro trials from game stores, bundles and hardware purchases are common. They usually work only on accounts that have not had Nitro recently, and many require a saved payment method because the plan renews at full price when the trial ends. Set a reminder to cancel before renewal if you do not want to keep paying.

Discord Nitro Code Not Working?

• Already claimed: each code works once, so a shared or screenshot code may be gone.
• Expired: promo codes often have a claim-by date.
• Conflicting plan: you may need to let a current subscription end first.
• Region or eligibility limits: partner codes can be limited to new users or certain countries.

Fake free Nitro links are one of the most common ways Discord accounts get stolen. A real gift appears as an embedded card in Discord, not as a link to an unfamiliar website asking you to log in.

Making the Most of Nitro

Nitro upgrades stream quality, upload size and server boosts. Our full Discord Nitro guide compares the plans. If you spend a lot of time in voice channels, a comfortable headset from Cowin Audio makes long sessions easier on the ears.

Subscription resellers such as GamsGo also list discounted plans for gaming and streaming services, though you should read their terms carefully before paying.

Claim It Before It Expires

Redeem Nitro codes as soon as you get them, on the account you actually use, and from Gift Inventory rather than an outside site. That avoids expired codes, wrong accounts and phishing all at once.
