Summary: On the Roblox website, $9.99 buys 1,000 Robux, about a cent each, while the same $9.99 in the mobile app buys 800. Bigger web packs are slightly cheaper per Robux, up to 24,000 Robux for $199.99. Going the other way, 1,000 Robux costs about $10 to buy but pays a creator only $3.80 through DevEx, and Robux you bought can't be cashed out at all.
- Web and gift card prices: $4.99 for 500, $9.99 for 1,000, $19.99 for 2,000, $49.99 for 5,250 and $99.99 for 11,000 Robux.
- The iOS and Android apps give about 20% fewer Robux for the same money because app store fees are built into the price.
- Robux to USD has two answers: roughly $0.01 per Robux to buy, and $0.0038 per earned Robux to cash out.
- Roblox Premium closed to new members in April 2026, and Roblox Plus does not discount Robux purchases.
People land on this page with one of two questions. Either you have a budget and want to know how many Robux it buys, or you have a Robux balance and want to know what it is worth in dollars. Both answers start with the same thing: where you buy, because the website and the app sell the same price points with different Robux amounts.
For a quick figure in another currency, the Robux to USD converter does the arithmetic live. The tables below explain the numbers behind it, so you can tell when a price is a good deal and when it isn't.

What Is Robux?
Robux is the virtual currency of Roblox. It pays for avatar items, game passes, private servers and upgrades inside individual experiences, and it is the only Roblox money most players ever handle. You will also see it spelled Robucks, especially in searches, but the official name is Robux.
So what is Robux in practical terms? It is store credit locked to your Roblox account. You can buy it, earn it by selling creations, or receive it from other players, but only earned Robux can ever be turned back into cash. That split explains the two answers to Robux to dollars further down: one price for buying, a much lower one for cashing out.
Robux Prices: Website vs App
Roblox sells Robux in fixed packs. These are the standard US prices before tax. The website column also applies when you redeem a Roblox gift card, since the card is spent through your account rather than through an app store.
| Price | Website and gift cards | Mobile app and console | Extra Robux on the web |
|---|---|---|---|
| $4.99 | 500 | 400 | 100 |
| $9.99 | 1,000 | 800 | 200 |
| $19.99 | 2,000 | 1,700 | 300 |
| $49.99 | 5,250 | 4,500 | 750 |
| $99.99 | 11,000 | 10,000 | 1,000 |
The website also sells a $34.99 pack with 3,625 Robux and a $199.99 pack with 24,000 Robux, the cheapest rate per Robux available directly. In the app, the smallest option is a $0.99 pack with 80 Robux.
The gap exists because Apple and Google take a cut of every in-app purchase and Roblox passes that cost on in fewer Robux. On a phone, you can avoid it by opening roblox.com in a browser and buying there. Prices outside the US are set in local currency and include local tax, so always check the amount your own account shows before paying.
How Much Robux Do You Get for $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100?
How much Robux is $1?
There is no $1 pack, so this is a rate question. On the website a dollar is worth about 100 Robux. In the app it is worth about 80, which is also what the $0.99 app pack gives you.
How much Robux is $5?
The $4.99 pack gives 500 Robux on the website and 400 in the app.
How much Robux is $10?
The $9.99 pack is the most common purchase: 1,000 Robux on the website, 800 in the app. If you buy regularly on your phone, switching to the browser is the single biggest saving available.
How much Robux is $15?
No pack costs exactly $15, so how much is 15 dollars in Robux depends on how you spend it. On the website, $15 covers the $9.99 and $4.99 packs together for 1,500 Robux, or 1,200 at app rates. A $15 Roblox gift card gets the same website value and lets you spend exactly that amount.
How much Robux is $25 or $30?
With $25, the 2,000-Robux pack plus the 500-Robux pack cost $24.98 together, for 2,500 Robux on the website. With $30, the 2,000 and 1,000 packs cost $29.98 and give 3,000 Robux. A $25 or $30 gift card is the easy way to spend exactly that budget.
How much Robux is $20?
The $19.99 pack gives 2,000 Robux on the website and 1,700 in the app.
How much Robux is $40?
There is no $40 pack. Two $19.99 packs give 4,000 Robux on the website, while the $49.99 pack gives 5,250, so stretching to fifty dollars buys 1,250 more Robux for ten more dollars.
How much is 50 dollars in Robux?
The $49.99 pack answers how much is 50 dollars in Robux: 5,250 Robux on the website and 4,500 in the app. This is where web packs start getting cheaper per Robux, at about 105 Robux per dollar.
How much Robux is $100?
The $99.99 pack gives 11,000 Robux on the website and 10,000 in the app. On the web, $199.99 buys 24,000 Robux, the best direct rate at about 120 Robux per dollar.
Robux to USD: What Robux Is Worth in Dollars
Converting Robux back to dollars gives two very different numbers. The first is what the Robux cost to buy. The second is what a creator receives when cashing earned Robux out through the Developer Exchange, or DevEx. The table shows both, using the closest pack rate for buying and the standard DevEx rate of $0.0038 for cashing out.
| Robux | Cost on the website | Cost in the app | DevEx payout (earned Robux) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | ~$1.00 | ~$1.25 | $0.38 |
| 500 | ~$5.00 | ~$6.25 | $1.90 |
| 1,000 | $9.99 | ~$12.49 | $3.80 |
| 2,000 | $19.99 | ~$23.52 | $7.60 |
| 5,000 | ~$47.60 | ~$55.55 | $19.00 |
| 10,000 | ~$90.90 | $99.99 | $38.00 |
| 17,000 | ~$142 | ~$170 | $64.60 |
| 50,000 | ~$417 | ~$500 | $190 |
| 100,000 | ~$833 | ~$1,000 | $380 |
| 1,000,000 | ~$8,330 | ~$10,000 | $3,800 |
How much is 1,000 Robux in dollars?
1,000 Robux costs $9.99 on the website and about $12.49 at app rates. Cashed out through DevEx, 1,000 earned Robux pays $3.80.
How much is 10,000 or 17,000 Robux in dollars?
10,000 Robux costs about $91 on the website at the $99.99 pack rate, or exactly $99.99 in the app. 17,000 Robux works out at roughly $142 at the best web rate. Through DevEx, the same amounts pay $38 and $64.60.
How much is 1 million Robux in real money?
Buying a million Robux would cost roughly $8,300 at the best web rate and about $10,000 at app rates. Searches like "how much is 1 million Robux in real money" usually come from creators, because balances that large are earned rather than bought, and a million earned Robux cashes out at $3,800 at the standard rate.

Why a Robux Balance Is Worth Less Than It Cost
Robux you buy is credit inside Roblox, not money you can withdraw. Only earned Robux, from game passes, developer products, avatar items and other creator sales, can be exchanged for cash, and purchased Robux, gift card redemptions and Robux received as transfers never qualify.
According to the official DevEx documentation, the standard rate has been $0.0038 per earned Robux since 5 September 2025, up from $0.0035. Since June 2026, some Robux earned from age-verified US players aged 18 and over in eligible games cashes out at a higher $0.0054. To cash out at all, a creator must be at least 13, hold at least 30,000 earned Robux, have a verified email address and file a tax form, and can complete one cash-out per calendar month.

There is also a cut before DevEx applies. Roblox keeps around 30% of the Robux from a typical in-game sale, so a creator converts what is left, not the full price the buyer paid. Robux from sales also sits as pending for a holding period before it can be spent, which is why a creator's balance can briefly look lower than their sales.
How to Get Cheaper Robux
There is no official discount on Robux itself, but four habits lower what you pay per Robux:
- Buy on the website, not in the app. The same $9.99 gives 1,000 Robux instead of 800.
- Buy the largest pack you will actually use. The $49.99, $99.99 and $199.99 web packs each cost less per Robux than the smaller ones.
- Use a Roblox gift card when you want a fixed amount or a gift. Cards are redeemed at roblox.com, so they get website value, and official cards are also sold by top-up services such as Codashop in many countries.
- Ignore anything that needs your password. Sellers advertising cheap Robux by logging into your account, or by trading game passes off-platform, break Roblox's terms and can get the account banned.
Gift cards also solve the awkward amounts, which is why searches like "how much is 15 dollars in Robux" so often end with a card. A $15 or $25 card covers a budget that doesn't match any pack, and anything unspent waits on the account. If you are buying for a child, a card also caps the spend without saving a payment card to their account.
Roblox Premium Is Closed: What Roblox Plus Changes
Roblox Premium, the subscription that paid a monthly Robux allowance, closed to new members on 30 April 2026, and the 10% bonus Premium members got on extra Robux purchases ended on 30 May 2026. Existing subscribers kept their allowance, but nobody new can join, and older guides that call Premium the cheapest route to Robux are out of date.
Its replacement, Roblox Plus, costs $4.99 a month and works differently. The base plan includes no Robux. Instead it gives 10% off in-game and avatar items, rising to 20% after three consecutive months, along with free private servers, free Robux transfers and the ability to publish Marketplace items. Roblox also sells Plus bundles that add a monthly Robux allowance on top.
Plus does not change the price of Robux itself. It only pays off if you already spend steadily on items, so occasional buyers save more by simply buying on the website.
Robux Prices in Euros, Pounds and Canadian Dollars
Roblox sets prices in local currency rather than converting dollars at the market rate, and the displayed price includes local tax. A pack priced at $4.99 in the US is commonly shown at around 5.99 euros in the eurozone for the same 500 Robux, so European players pay more per Robux: roughly 80 to 85 Robux per euro on the smaller web packs, against about 100 per dollar in the US. In markets such as Indonesia, India, Brazil and the Philippines, local pricing can work out cheaper.
That rate answers the common euro questions: 20 euros is roughly 1,650 to 1,700 Robux of website value, and 10 euros about 830. The same logic applies in the UK and Canada, where players see fixed local prices with tax included, so converting the US price at the day's exchange rate usually understates Robux to CAD and pound prices. Robux to CAD searches are best answered by the price list in your own account, which is the figure you will actually pay.
For local figures, see harga Robux dalam rupiah for Indonesia and the preço do Robux em reais for Brazil.
Avoiding Robux Scams
Searches for cheap or free Robux attract a lot of scams. Roblox states that no third-party site or app can generate Robux, so any generator, survey or giveaway that asks for your username and password is after your account. The legitimate ways to get Robux are:
- Buying on roblox.com or in the official Roblox app.
- Redeeming an official Roblox gift card at roblox.com/redeem.
- Earning Robux by selling game passes, items or other creations.
- Receiving Robux from another player through Roblox's own transfer features.
If you buy a gift card from a reseller, choose an established one such as Gamivo with buyer protection, make sure the card matches your region, and redeem the code yourself.
Robux Price FAQ
Is Robux cheaper on the website or in the app?
The website. The same $9.99 buys 1,000 Robux on roblox.com and 800 in the app, because app store fees are built into in-app prices.
How many Robux is a $10 Roblox gift card?
A $10 card is redeemed at roblox.com, so it gets website value: 1,000 Robux from the $9.99 pack, with a few cents left on the account.
Can you turn Robux back into real money?
Only earned Robux, through DevEx, at $0.0038 each at the standard rate. Robux you bought, were gifted or got from a gift card can't be cashed out, so Robux to dollars only works one way for most players.
How much Robux is 20 euros?
At the eurozone web rate of about 80 to 85 Robux per euro, 20 euros buys roughly 1,650 to 1,700 Robux of value. Local prices include tax and can change, so check the price list in your account.
Is Robucks the same as Robux?
Yes. Robucks is a common misspelling of Robux, the Roblox currency. Any site selling Robucks outside Roblox's own store and official gift cards should be treated as a scam.
Is it safe to buy cheap Robux?
Only through official channels: roblox.com, the Roblox app, or a genuine Roblox gift card. Offers that ask for your password or promise free Roblox money are after your account.
Squeezing More Robux Out of Every Dollar
The price of Robux comes down to three choices: buy on the website or with a gift card rather than in the app, pick a larger pack only if you will spend it, and treat a Robux balance as credit, not savings, because it cashes out at a fraction of what it cost. If a card suits you, whether as a gift or to get web value from a phone, you can browse Roblox gift cards and pick the amount you need.
