Amazon has confirmed that Prime Big Deal Days runs on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7, 2026. According to Amazon's announcement, members can shop deals across more than 35 categories, and dates can vary slightly by country.

This year's October event is shorter than in the past, when it ran for four days. Early deals on Amazon devices, Kindle and Amazon Music are already live, and during the event itself Amazon releases new deals three times a day, so checking back in the morning, afternoon and evening pays off.

What Is Prime Big Deal Days?

Amazon launched the first Prime Day on July 15, 2015, to mark its 20th anniversary. It was meant as a one-day sale for Prime members, and it grew quickly into one of the biggest shopping events of the year. That is more than US shoppers spent online across Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 combined.

Amazon's own devices, such as Echo speakers, Fire TV sticks and Kindles, are usually discounted hardest, often matching their Black Friday lows.

It is less worth it if you shop without a plan. Not every deal badge is a genuine low, and lightning deals are designed to rush decisions. A few habits keep the savings real:
