When it’s time to get some Bitcoin, stack up on Ethereum or grab a less-known token, you better be prepared and know exactly where to buy, sell and swap cryptocurrencies without running into numerous unexpected roadblocks.
Starting off with buying options, there are two main ways to purchase cryptocurrencies and tokens at CoinGate: by using a credit / debit card and a bank transfer.
Buy Bitcoin and 150+ More Coins With a Credit or Debit Card
The easiest method to buy Bitcoin is by using either MasterCard or Visa because it does not necessarily require registering an account with CoinGate, offers a lot of different buying options, and a one-time KYC process takes no longer than a few minutes.
By collaborating with CoinGate, payment services like Simplex or MoonPay provide means to buy crypto in most world countries and thus accept XRP payments of any national currency.
A customer can select +150 cryptocurrencies and tokens to buy, ranging from casual Ethereum, Dogecoin, Binance Coin BNB, Solana SOL or Cardano ADA, to game tokens like Enjin, Axie Infinity AXS or Gala, to stablecoins Tether USDT, and way more.
The process of buying crypto at Simplex via CoinGate is also user-friendly. Simply select what you want to buy, also your local currency and purchase amount. Then, enter a wallet address where the coins will be sent and proceed to checkout to finalize your purchase.

To use MoonPay services instead, sign up for a CoinGate account and navigate to the ‘Trading > Buy & Sell’ menu section.
Buy Bitcoin, Cardano and 30+ Other Cryptos Using Bank Transfer
Once verified, CoinGate users can buy numerous cryptocurrencies with EUR, USD and GBP by using a bank transfer option.
Log into your CoinGate account, navigate to the ‘Trading > Buy & Sell’ menu section and click on the ‘Buy’ tab.
Select a currency you’re going to pay with and a cryptocurrency to buy, enter the amount, select “Manual Bank Transfer” payment method, review if order details are correct, and click ‘Continue’.
After these steps are complete, you’ll get all the details for a bank transfer. When making a transfer, double check if the “Reason for payment” is provided correctly.
After a bank transfer is made, wait for the deposit to arrive to your CoinGate account. It shouldn’t take more than 24 hours for funds to appear in your balance. Log into your CoinGate account and click on ‘Balances > Accounts’ to check your available balance.
You can withdraw your funds from balance to a personal wallet at any time after funds are deposited to your account. Be mindful that you need to add a payout address before you can request a withdrawal.
How to Add a Payout Address for Withdrawals from Balance?
To withdraw coins from your CoinGate balance, you have to add a payout address for that specific currency.
That can be done by visiting the ‘Account Settings > Payout Settings’ menu section and clicking ‘+Add New’ button.
You can add either a bank account or a cryptocurrency address, depending on what currency you intend to withdraw.
Note that you’ll get a confirmation email after a new payout address is added.
