For banks, EMIs and payment institutions
Your clients send, receive and convert crypto while you get a revenue line
CoinGate runs the whole crypto and stablecoin stack as the MiCA-authorised provider: acceptance, payouts, top-ups and conversion. You keep the client, the account and a share of the revenue.
You keep the client. We hold the licence.
Every role is settled in writing before launch, so your teams know exactly what sits on which side.
| Your institution | CoinGate |
|---|---|
| Owns the client relationship, start to finish | Holds the authorisation and provides the crypto services |
| Holds the account and the fiat, as it does today | Runs custody, screening, conversion and settlement |
| Introduces clients and shares the due diligence it already holds | Contracts with the client for the crypto services only |
| Earns a share of the revenue on every product its clients use | Takes every crypto instruction directly from the client |
Three steps to a live client
The work is an API integration on your side and onboarding on ours. Your client sees one product, not two.
Your client opts in
Crypto appears as an option inside your platform. Your systems pass us the due diligence you already hold, over the API.
We onboard them
Most of what we need comes from you, so there is very little left for the client to do.
They start transacting
Fiat moves to and from the account they hold with you, so the balance never leaves your ecosystem.
Request the API documentation
Name, work email and institution. That is all we need to put you on the list and come back to you with the detail.

Frequently asked questions
Your compliance and risk teams will want more than this, and
we have a briefing written for them. Ask on the first call.
Do we need a crypto licence?
No. CoinGate holds the crypto-asset service provider authorisation and provides the crypto services to your client. Each side’s responsibilities are set out in the agreements before anything goes live.
Who holds the client relationship?
You do. The client keeps their account and their fiat with you, and you stay their point of contact. CoinGate contracts with them for the crypto services only.
Do our clients have to be verified all over again?
No. Most of what we need comes from the due diligence you already hold, so the client is asked for very little. We add our own crypto-specific checks and monitoring on top.
Whose brand does the client see?
Yours, alongside ours. The experience carries your branding and your copy, and CoinGate is named as the provider of the crypto services. That disclosure is fixed. It is what keeps the licensing requirement on our side.
Which stablecoins and assets do you support?
The major euro and dollar stablecoins alongside the established cryptocurrencies. Clients settle to fiat by default. Where holding the stablecoin suits them better, that is a setting rather than a different integration.
Can we start with one product?
Yes, and most partners do. Start with whatever your clients ask for most, and agree up front what opens next and when.
How long does it take?
It depends on the products in the first phase and your own approval process. We will give you a realistic timeline on the first call rather than a number that fits every partner.
