Have a question about EURC?
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is EURC?
EURC is a euro stablecoin issued by Circle. It is pegged to the euro, redeemable 1:1, and issued under MiCA’s e-money token rules with reserves held at European banks.
Which network does EURC use on CoinGate?
Payments, payouts, refunds, deposits, and conversion. You can accept EURC, send it, refund it, fund your balance with it, and convert it into other assets.
Can I settle EURC payments in euros?
Yes. You can settle incoming EURC payments into EUR, crypto, or another stablecoin, depending on what works best for your business.
How is EURC different from USDC or other stablecoins?
EURC is pegged to the euro rather than the dollar. For euro businesses, that removes the currency gap that comes with dollar-pegged stablecoins.
Is EURC compliant with EU regulation?
EURC is issued under MiCA’s e-money token regime. CoinGate is a MiCA-licensed payment provider.
